Energy supplier Mega was founded in 2013 by Michael Corhay and Thomas Coune, two Belgian entrepreneurs. Mega’s objective is to offer Belgian consumers, individuals and professionals, a cheaper alternative to multinationals in the energy sector. A big advantage for Mega is that they do everything themselves; accounting, IT, back-office, marketing, call centre, etc… everything happens internally.

Since February 2019, Mega has also been active in France. The energy supplier provides green electricity and natural gas in mainland France for all delivery points served by the network operator Enedis (electricity) and GRDF (natural gas).

Energy supplier Mega was founded in 2013 by Michael Corhay and Thomas Coune, two Belgian entrepreneurs. Mega’s objective is to offer Belgian consumers, individuals and professionals, a cheaper alternative to multinationals in the energy sector. A big advantage for Mega is that they do everything themselves; accounting, IT, back-office, marketing, call centre, etc… everything happens internally.

For its energy, Mega works as much as possible with local green producers. For example, half of electricity in 2018 was purchased locally. Two years later, in 2020, no less than 70% of electricity came from the same local producers. Also in 2018, the company grew significantly through the acquisition of five small local energy suppliers. It is partly thanks to this that Mega had more than 400,000 customers at the end of 2019.
